Difference between GHA (MHA) Motors and Stainless Steel Motors (MSS)
Difference between GHA (MHA) Motors and Stainless Steel Motors (MSS)
Carpanelli Electric Motors, which has been designing, manufacturing and distributing custom-built motors for more than 75 years, offers GHA (MHA) and stainless steel (MSS) motors, what are the differences?
Carpanelli GHA Motors (MHA)
Carpanelli GHA electric motors (MHA), are a line of motors with silver treatment, patented by Carpanelli Motori Elettrici. These motors are made of aluminium alloy and are a valid alternative to stainless steel electric motors for sectors where hygiene is paramount.
Stainless steel motors (MSS)
Carpanelli Stainless Steel Electric Motors (MSS) are a guarantee of durability and hygiene. They are corrosion-resistant motors and are a reliable and durable solution where hygiene is a key requirement.
Difference between GHA Motors (MHA) and Stainless Steel Motors (MSS)
Areas of application
GHA (MHA) motors are ideal electric motors for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries ; stainless steel (MSS) motors are perfect for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Bacterial properties
MHA motors are able to kill the majority of bacterial strains and prevent the proliferation of the rest; MSS motors do not have this benefit.
Corrosion
MHA motors provide corrosion protection with solutions at PH <11; MSS motors provide 100% corrosion protection.
Sealing in salt spray
MHA motors have passed 10,000 hours of salt spray sealing tests, MSS motors 100,000 hours.
Cleaning with caustic soda
Cleaning with caustic soda is not possible in MHA motors, unlike MSS motors.
Motor surface temperature
The surface temperature of MHA motors is 40°C lower than that of stainless steel motors; that of MSS motors is high, but still 20°C lower than the average stainless steel motor on the market.
Efficiency class and IP protection class
Both motors have an IE4 Premium efficiency class and an IP69K degree of protection.
Weight
MHA motors weigh 30% less than MSS motors.
